Life is too short than to spend any more moments than necessary in bitterness. We aren't guaranteed tomorrow. We have to make the most of what we have, because there is no knowing when it will be taken away.
That being said, I will ask that his family and friends be kept in our thoughts and prayers.

His works die with him.
ReplyDeleteThey say not to speak ill of the recently departed. I wasn't going to do that. Then I remembered that Robertson accused some churches of child pornography because they had some little girls dancing. Robertson said they were "showing panties" and that was a lie. He was a horrible excuse of a human being and I hope he's burning in hell.
ReplyDeleteHorrible excuses of human beings wish hell upon others.
DeletePete,
ReplyDeleteWe all deserve hell. Every one of us.
I know that I do.
God's mercy is something that I cannot fathom. That is definitely something that I don't deserve.
Despite all that happened before, I take no pleasure in Robertson's passing.
"There but for the grace of God..."
What happens to his church's TV shows now?
ReplyDeleteI have heard that the television programs that Robertson controlled are effectively finished. They are done. They will not be coming back. Which might put WGSR in a serious severe bind, for reasons which longtime readers of this blog will understand.
ReplyDelete(Robertson was the station's biggest paying client. Make of that what one may.)
I have also learned further details about the manner of Robertson's death. That's all that I can say.
Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteNathan here from the old "Answering the Church of Christ" blog. It's been a long, long time.
Every now and then since I stopped the blog, I would Google JR to see what he was up to. I guess it had been over a year since I did the last time, because I was absolutely floored to find your post and read what happened.
To say it was not the ending to the story I was expecting would be an understatement.
Not sure what to say about this except that I hope that his family and friends can find some peace and comfort moving forward.
Anyway, hope you are doing well these days. Glad to see you are still writing.
Cheers,
Nathan
