Hey guys, please remember that I'm like Michael Corleone in The Godfather before he pulls the gun out of the toilet and shoots Sollozzo and that scumbucket police captain: I'm "a civilian". The whole war for power is something I don't want a piece of action in. And I'm gonna be friendly with anyone no matter their affiliation. Just don't want either side gunning for me is all :-)

You need a better analogy than Michael Corleone even BEFORE he he pulled the gun out of the toilet. Yeah, he was a civilian before that shooting. But then look what happened to him afterwards. Will Christopher stay a civilian? Or someday in the future one day run the family business? :-)
Someone found my blog and has been posting stuff over there. Then a few days ago they linked to my entry about Jerry Falwell and it got 'em good and stoked and some people suggested that maybe I was setting them up for something.
I made a very considered move by registering over there, just to post to the thread, a lot of things to clarify where I'm coming from (it's NOT as a conservative or liberal, and don't anyone even THINK that I'm a Democrat or Republican) and lo and behold, this morning get a ton of e-mail 'cuz THAT post turned into a thread of its own. That said, it was the ONLY time that I ever intend to post to Democratic Underground: not because I've anything against them personally (because I don't) but because I'm still holding to what I said a few months ago: that political discussion forums have become something in my life that I've left behind, and am a far better person for that.
So don't anybody think that I'm "turning traitor" on any particular group, because I'm not. I'm still independent as ever, and enjoying it rather well, thank you :-)
