Pardon our dust

Methinks it's time to change things up a bit around here.

Don't be surprised if this blog experiences some trauma during the next few days or so.  I've a hankering to get creative with templates and Photoshop.  Hope to have a new look ready to go soon :-)

At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, this really is shaping up to be the most awesome look for this blog in its 11 years of existence.

You should have seen the first few years! "The Knight Shift" was supposed to evoke a nocturnal dread. Hence, for the first two years or so the pages were pitch-black with some HORRID font coloring. It looked like a blog Batman would have come up with at 4:30 in the morning in-between fighting Joker and Riddler. It was something out of Warhammer 40,000. Just total grimdark.

After the school board run, I decided to get more serious as a blogger and also a journalist. That's when the more newsprint-y look came into being. The appearance I'm working on now is in keeping with that, but it's also going to be the most complex the blog has been by far.

It looks great so far! The slider is totally not annoying like some I've seen.
