The West Wing gets cancelled

NBC giving it the axe after seven seasons. I never watched a single episode, so I don't know anything about how this may or may not be a big deal. Anyone want to chime in and say what this show's been like?

We did get in three more episodes from the Lost Season 1 DVD set today, finishing up with "Numbers", which is Hurley's episode... which was a HECK of a lot of fun to watch.

Where did you read or hear that The West Wing got cancelled? I haven't missed a show since it started. Dam! Was looking forward to how they would portray a latino prez.

Go to the link on my post. I first heard about it on Drudge Report earlier this afternoon.

I too never saw a single episode. Way back when before the very first episode aired, thanks to the publicity for this show I was reading the articles on it. When I heard that Martin Sheen was going to play the President, I rolled my eyes. I thought to myself, "Oh, dont tell me. He's a liberal Democrat President, and this show is going to tell us how wonderful and workable the liberal ideas are and how evil the Republicans are." Except for the part of Sheen playing a liberal Democrat of a President, I'm not too sure if my descrition of this show is accurate. That aside, I wasnt interested in watching a liberal President in a liberal show brought to me by liberal Hollywood.

Same here Marc. When I first heard of this show, it was like I knew without a doubt where this was going to be headed. Storytelling that's so blatantly slanted politically - toward ANY direction - is a big turn-off for me.

The last good thing that I can remember Martin Sheen doing was one of the Babylon 5 tv movies.
