Goodbye

Dear readers,

This is likely to be the last post made on The Knight Shift.

If it is, I would like to thank you all for joining me on this little adventure.  It lasted almost ten years, and was approaching its 5,000th post.  I like to think that it was time well spent and that you had as much fun reading it as I did writing it.

God bless,
Chris

Dear Chris,

I hope this is not the end of your blogging. If you need to take care of something, take your time but also please reconsider ending your blog.

My brother has bipolar disorder too. Your sharing about your struggles with bipolar gave him a burst of hope that he never had before. I honestly believe that reading your Being Bipolar series kept him from committing suicide. He was very close to taking his own life until I showed him your blog.

Take the time to get straightened out, but please come back. Your blog is a blessing to too many people and I love reading it (I come to it every day to see what you're up to :))

What Kara said. Don't leave Chris. America is set to go down the crapper. People like you are needed to fix things after it does.

BTW I love your Star Wars election ad!

Chris,

Also agree with the other two posters. Take care of yourself, but don't shutter this completely! Your blog has been one of my daily visits for the past five years, and even though your posts have been infrequent as of late, I've still enjoyed them.

But as I said, do what you need to do to take care of yourself. Just know that you will be missed!

Blessings to you!

I have bipolar also, and the Being Bipolar articles have been an immense source of inspiration and comfort. Please don't be gone for long Chris. Please don't stop this blog for good. Tammy has her fans too. Think of her (:

Hang in there brother Knight. Take whatever time you may need to sort things out. Your readers will always be waiting for you, no matter how long it may take.

I am a big fan of the blog Hyperbole and a Half. If you are not familiar, the writer has struggled mightily with depression and has only had two posts over the past couple years. Still, I check it on a regular basis to see if she has shared any more.

I shall do the same for you. Persevere, and when you feel like writing again, I (and we) will be here to see what you have to say.

Godspeed.

You can't leave now! Too much work to do. And you have to write about the new Doctor Who and Star Wars movies! An Internet without Chris Knight crazy for Star Wars? I can't imagine that!

Chris you've been a good person to more people than you could ever know. I sense sadness in this post. Whatever it is its not from God. God gave you unbelievable talent and he wouldn't want it to not be used. Don't let the adversary get you down. He who is within us is greater than what is in the world. We're praying for you bro.
