...then a lot of media outlets, nonprofit organizations, social media like Facebook, government agencies, and more will be owing us a MASSIVE apology.
I almost telephoned WFMY in Greensboro, North Carolina today. That station has always used Southern Poverty Law Center as a "respected" source of information. Any time a story came up involving alleged "white supremacy", WFMY cited SPLC as credible because of its "hate list".
If you haven't heard about it already, Southern Poverty Law Center has been indicted for taking millions of dollars of donor contributions and funneling them to the very "hate groups" that it purports to be against. SPLC money went to the Klan, to Neo-Nazis, to other white supremacists. The group claims that they were paying informants. The pattern suggested by the indictments indicate otherwise. This was a regular occurrence.
It's like a firefighter putting a torch to your house and then expecting to be paid to put it out.
The people of Southern Poverty Law Center do not deserve any mercy. Their actions and policies over the past several decades have cost innocent people jobs, reputations, their voices in the public arena, and as at least one person has argued it possibly cost Charlie Kirk his life (he was put on the "hate list" a few months before his assassination).
Suffice it to say, I'll be keeping an eye on this with great interest.
