Back

I got home just after midnight, local time (though my body is still on Central Time). Have a few things on this end waiting for me but expect a wazoo-load of stories and pictures in the next few days, and a full report on what happened at Butt-Numb-A-Thon :-)

I'm so jealous of anyone who got to go to the Butt-Numb-A-Thon! I'm looking forward to reading your recap of the event. I haven't seen as much news as I had hoped about Cloverfield, but oh well. I'm excited to hear about the Wall-E footage that I hear they showed there though! Was it amazing?

Wall-E easily looks to be Pixar's best effort yet. We saw 4 clips from it and the amazing thing isn't just how gosh-darned AWESOME it looks, but that it was telling a story with a VERY minimum of dialogue (we were told by the Pixar exec that there is some real speech in this movie, spoken by human characters, but we didn't see any of those during the presentation). Wall-E also represents the first time that live-action footage has been incorporated into a Pixar film.

By the way, the Pixar guys said that at any given time they have like 4-5 projects in the works. They've got a full slate right up to 2012!
