Fini

This blog is closing down. Possibly for good.

I can no longer afford, at the present time, to maintain it as actively as I would like.

Long story short; my personal life has become a shamble.

I have hurt a lot of people. Including those closest to me.

I was so busy fighting the big battles, that I neglected to fight the ones that matter most.

I became so engaged in trying to serve God, that I forgot how to seek God.

It has cost me more than I have every lost in my life.

I am now in a very dark place. The darkest that I have ever been in.

I can't run from that.

I can't go into another room and pretend that it is not there. I must own up to it.

I have destroyed a lot of peoples belief and trust in me. And I would do anything to get it back. I don't know if that is possible.

The only thing that I know to do, all that is left to me, is to come before God as a broken and humilated man, ask Him for mercy and grace, and pray that He will guide in rebuilding my life.

Perhaps in time, the restoration that I have literally begged for will come. And if not, then I must pray for strength to move forward. According to His will, what ever that may be.

To those I have hurt; I am sorry. This was my fault. I was not as strong as I should have been. I can't ask for your forgiveness this time. I have to earn it. I like to believe that already God has shown me the away to begin doing that.

No matter what happens, I will still love you all.

To everyone who has visited this blog over the past five years; Thank You. I hope that your time here was entertaining, edifying, and maybe even educational. Maybe someday we can do this again.

God Bless, and Farewell.

There is no shame in falling, brother, only in not getting up. Good luck.

Chris,

Blessings to you. I guess I missed something.

I'm sorry to hear things aren't going so well. I've only commented on your blog a few times, but alot of the stuff I've read on here, I agreed with. Also, when I first came to this blog, I thought it was cool that you were a filmmaker. I certainly hope that you'll be back someday. Because I'd definately would like to ask for advice and tips on filmmaking, because I, myself, am trying to be a filmmaker.

Anyways, I'll keep you in my prayers, and hope that things will be healed, and that you don't stay in that very dark place for too much longer.

Chris,

Understood. You are wise to take the time you need to do what needs to be done. This is just the internet - and there are things infinitely more important. Take care of the things/people that really matter.

If you need to talk, you know my email addy. You're in my prayers.

Blessings,
Nathan

Chris

You are a star
"A Knight Star"
You could make a full feature film out of this.

None of this makes any sense to me. I would have to think this is a gag or a prank....similar to the one you posted months ago about county leaders banning tobacco here in the area in order to receive government funds. But I cannot see you using God and your faith to do that, so I feel almost sure you are dead serious about leaving your blog work, at least for a while. But only you can know yourself and what you need to do. I truly hope it all works out for you. Our thoughts and prayers to you. And sincere hopes that you one day return. Sign me-- A Local

I'm disappointed, but Charles Roark, Johnny Robertson, and Ron Price are certainly going to be happy to hear this news.

Hi Chris,
I'm sorry to hear you are having such troubles in your life. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog ever since the Transformers petition days. Keep up your faith and remember everything happens for a reason. Even the bad stuff. I know from experience that sometimes we have to go through the bad stuff and pain so we can help others from our experiences. Take it all one step at a time and pray and God will help you through it. I will say some prayers for you too. Take care and I hope you will be back writing soon.

Charles Roark and Johnny Robertson should be happy. This seems to make everything they said about Chris look true. I'm wondering if they are the ones he is talking about he hurt??? A little confusing.

I'll be praying for you, brother. Our pastor preached a sermon on Psalm 51 back in June that you may find encouraging during this dark time. It's entitled "A Broken and Contrite Heart God Will Not Despise." You can read and/or listen to it here.

Blessings.

Chris... You'll be in my prayers. Hold firm to those things you know... find the pieces that are missing... you can recover from this.

Show your strength, and your humility, in this.
God Bless.

Wow. The spam is even getting through. I wonder if Chris is even checking here anymore?

Hope things are getting better for you, Chris, if you are still visiting and reading.

You are going to do great things. The enemy knows this and wants to take you out of the game with every means in his power. You hit him hard by going after Johnny Robertson. Rest well noble warrior and return soon. People need the rare wisdom you possess.

Man, Chinese sneaker shit and some nerd referencing a cosmic "enemy". I continue to be amused by the denizens of this place. I'll miss it.

Hey Chris,

I've never commented here before, but I wanted to break my silence to tell you what I know from reading your blog: you are a good person with a good heart.

Human beings fail. Isolating yourself from the world often just makes your troubles and your grief multiply. I hope you'll think about continuing to write here, and let your blog help you get back on your feet.

Be as kind to yourself as you would be to someone else.

Chris a few weeks ago you said that a major bank was in trouble and hinted that it could be Wachovia.

Report: Wachovia in early talks with Citi

Wachovia stock is down almost 30 percent.

Chris, as a distant observer who has no clue what happened to you, but I would like to remind you, that forgiveness is given, not earned. I know you may feel you have to earn it, but the only thing you need to do is humble yourself, aplogize to whomever you have wronged, and wait to see if they tell you that they forgive you. Same as our salvation is a gift, so is forgiveness.
Hoping that the Lord will lead you through the valley you find yourself in at this time....

This is a hell of a bad time to leave. The world has started becoming too interesting.

Come back soon. For what its worth I'd pay to see you do your commentary on premium cable.

Alex
I agree with you it is a bad time to leave.

I think most of the people here support Chris and he should not quit what he started.

Anonymous said...

And down goes Wachovia.

As to Chris "quitting what he started", I couldn't disagree more. Chris needs to do what Chris needs to do. Blogs are nothing compared to real life.

Paulson now admitting that Wachovia "has collapsed" and today had the biggest one day drop of the Dow in history at nearly 780 points.

Does anyone know if Chris is okay?

I agree that things are becoming EXTREMELY scary and this is what Chris always has a good comment on.

His silence makes scary stuff, scarier.

This is what Chris Knight wrote on January 21.

------

Hell Époque
The era of United States history that stretched from the early 1990s until the end of the first decade of the 21st century, that has come to be regarded as the final years of America's long-time domination of the world's culture and economy.

Although noted for considerable achievements in computers and telecommunications that led to apparent empowerment of the individual, the Hell Époque was also a time of cultural and political stagnation in America that coincided with tremendous loss of individual liberty as the American government began to seize unprecedented power. Most authorities agree that although this had already been a long-time trend in America, the election of Bill Clinton as U.S. President in 1992 saw the start of the final phase of escalation toward an all-powerful American state. This would climax during the presidency of George W. Bush, whose disastrous domestic and foreign policies catapulted the country toward utter ruin.

Most historians agree that it became widely accepted among the American people during the Hell Époque that their government had finally become too corrupt and that the life they had come to believe in had drawn to a close, and that the "rule of law" under the Constitution no longer existed. This was especially apparent following the collapse of the traditional "two party system" and the failure of the American economy in...

That's all he wrote for his definition of Hell Epoque. That's his name for what future historians are going to call the time we're in now.

Is Knight a prophet? He seems to be to me.
